This is my first time using a serum and I wanted to and will support black business. I love the way my skin feels like others mention very soft and dewy. I do not like the smell. I couldn’t put my finger on what it smelled like and then I realized it smells like beef jerky. I wish the smell was more appealing. Since I have other steps to my skincare routine I am able to mask it but the scent could use some work.

I wanted to enjoy this was serum so badly but was unfortunately disappointed. I work in the spa and beauty industry so I am accustomed to great skin care products… Not that this one isn’t great, but it definitely missed the mark on what I was looking for. Since it is a vitamin c serum I expected a nice citrus aroma. It actually smells like wood or old storage boxes somehow. As for the viscosity well simply put it is watery. I enjoy a thicker serum the helps to hydrate my skin under my moisturizer. This one soaks right in and almost feels sticky as I finish patting it in. All in all, missed the “buttah” feel that I was expecting. Perhaps I should have tried the moisturizer instead.

I received my 2nd bottle today. I ordered this after seeing an infomercial late one night and wanted to try. My nose is super sensitive, so my very first impression of this serum? Ugh! No way! The smell was way to strong and not appealing, at all. But when I woke up the next morning my face was soft and dewy. My makeup went on smooth and looked flawless! I have oily skin and live in South Florida so I won’t be using during the day for work, maybe on the weekends and days off when I am makeup free.Overall, I give 4 stars, only because if the strong smell, which I still dislike and the fact that it’s a glass bottle and packaging is a little wonky: arrives in a thin and lightly padded Amazon envelope. I feel like the bottle could at least be protected with some bubble wrap to avoid potential damage.
